CSU Fully Online

CSU Fully Online is a concurrent enrollment program that allows CSU students to take one online course at another CSU campus during the fall or spring semester along with coursework at their home CSU campus and the additional units through CSU Fully Online are included in the full-time tuition. The home campus is the CSU campus where the student is admitted and currently attending and the host campus is the campus offering the CSU Fully Online course.

*Before enrolling in an online course at another CSU, consult with your academic advisor to determine how the course may apply to your degree requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions

Am I Eligible?

You’re eligible if:

  • You’ve completed at least one term at a CSU campus as a matriculated student and earned at least 12 units at that campus.

  • Your GPA is at least 2.0 at your campus and you are in good standing.

  • You are or will be enrolled at your campus during the time you’re taking a fully online class through another CSU campus.

  • You’ve paid all your tuition as a full-time student.

Incoming transfer students will not need to meet the 12 earned units and are eligible to enroll their first semester provided all other criteria are met.

Will the course I take through CSU Fully Online meet my major or general education requirements?

Courses taken through CSU Fully Online will transfer as at least general elective credit. Consult the CSU Fully Online website to find out what GE requirement the course might meet. Consult with your academic advisor to confirm that the class will meet ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ degree requirements.

How do I enroll in a CSU Fully Online course?

The CSU Fully Online link will appear in your Student Center once enrollment opens and remains through the enrollment period for your home campus.

Instructions for enrollment can be found .

What if the course I want to take through CSU Fully Online has prerequisites?

You are responsible for meeting the prerequisites for CSU Fully Online courses and should be prepared to provide documentation to the host campus as evidence of completing the prerequisites.

Can I take more than one CSU Fully Online course?

No. CSU Fully Online enrollment is limited to one course per student, per term at a CSU other than your home campus.

Do I need to pay additional fees for a CSU Fully Online course?

You do not have to pay additional fees, however, you need to have paid full-time fees at your home campus or have enough dispersed Financial Aid to cover full-time fees (6.1 units or above) to participate.

The units for the CSU Fully Online course are included in your total term units and used for financial aid calculations.

While CSU Fully Online courses are intended to be provided at no additional cost, materials fees and non-resident tuition may apply. If you are paying non-resident fees at your home campus, the non-resident tuition will also apply to the host campus of the Fully Online course.

How do I drop a CSU Fully Online course that I am taking at ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥?

Login to your myÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ student portal through Census Day to drop the CSU Fully Online course you are enrolled in at ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥. If you wish to drop after the deadline, you must contact dromero2@csub.edu.

Please Note: The grade you earn in the CSU Fully Online course will become part of your permanent academic record. If you need to drop the class, follow the host campus procedures and deadlines.

Do I need to submit transcripts to transfer the grade to my home CSU?

You do not need to submit transcripts to your home campus at the end of the semester. Grades from the host campus are submitted to your home campus during the host campus's End of Term process (dates vary for each CSU) and then added to your academic record.

Can I change to a degree program that is offered completely online?

This program is not designed to complete your entire degree online. If your campus does not offer the major completely online, you will need to discuss your options with an academic advisor at your campus.

You can visit  to view online programs or search online degree programs at .
*To transfer to an online degree program offered through ÂãÁÄÖ±²¥ Extended Education or another CSU campus you must apply for admission.
